President Barack Obama marked Labor Day by announcing an executive order that will extend the right to receive sick pay to hundreds of thousands of American workers employed by federal contractors.
The new labor regulations, which will be detailed at a speech in Boston Monday, are expected to grant the right to sick pay to around 300,000 low-paid workers.
Employees on federal contracts would be entitled to up to seven days paid sick leave per year. Read more.
