abe-foxmanPresident Obama is praising Abe Foxman – the soon-to-retire national director of the Anti-Defamation League – as “a tireless voice against anti-Semitism and prejudice in all of its forms.”

Foxman, who announced this week he will step down in July 2015, has always urged people “to reject hatred and embrace our common humanity,” Obama said.

Foxman has been ADL’s national director for 27 years.

“Michelle and I wish him well as he prepares to leave the leadership of the Anti-Defamation League – an organization that he built, and led with such passion and persistence,” Obama said. The president said Foxman “is irreplaceable, but the causes that he has dedicated his life to will continue to inspire people in the United States, Israel, and around the world.”

  1. Mr. Foxman is a very intelligent hope for good favor for all Israel. And he has every common thought a jew should have about human discretion and human trust. A world of hope for every Israelite no matter what your level of true observance. We can wish him best wishes for all he has done and perhaps what more he will offer in other company in the future.
