obama-state-of-the-unionPresident Obama wants Congress to know he’ll ask for its help during this week’s State of the Union address, but he doesn’t need it.

Senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer said Obama’s speech will include proposals that he can act on without Capitol Hill. That means signing executive orders, as he did on EPA regulations last year, or calling business and civil leaders to work together on projects.

“It vaguely sounds like a threat,” Sen. Rand Paul said after hearing Pfeiffer. Read more at New York Times.

  1. He should be reminded that he is under threat of impeachment and removal from office for his numerous breaches of Constitutional law, providing the conservatives muster the courage to act on this.

  2. Translation: If Obama does not get what he wants from Congress, Obama will just get it himself.

Imperial Presidency? Authoritarianism? Dictatorship? Call it what you want, but don’t call it Constitutional law and don’t call it liberty.

The heel of Obama’s boot planted squarely on the American people’s collective throat: Is this is what the media cheerleads for? Is this is the “democracy” that our fellow citizens yearn for?

Americans deserve much better, don’t you think?

  3. Let me also add that many Americans might describe themselves as the most threatened citizens ever.

Their government, instead of providing justice, security, and a thriving economic environment imperils their personal liberty and freedom with the heavy-handed methods from the Obama government.

We still must survive through three more years of this!
