obama5President Barack Obama said Sony “made a mistake” in pulling The Interview following what the FBI says was North Korea’s hacking attack.

“We cannot have a society in which some dictator someplace can start imposing censorship here in the United States,” he said, later adding, “I wish they had spoken to me first.” Obama added that Kim Jong-Un is “someone whose sensibilities… need to be offended” and that there is “no indication that North Korea was acting in junction with another country.”

In response to the cyberattack, Obama said the United States “will respond proportionally in a place and time and manner that we choose.”

In response to President Obama’s remark that Sony “made a mistake” in pulling The Interview from theaters, Sony Pictures Entertainment CEO Michael Lynton told CNN on Friday that “we have not caved, we have not given in, we have persevered, we will not back down.” He explained that the studio “had no alternative” but to cancel The Interview’s planned Dec. 25 theatrical release because “movie theaters came to us one by one and announced that they would not carry the movie.” He added that the hack is the “worst cyberattack in American history,” but insisted that Sony “would still like the public to see this movie. Absolutely.”

  1. “So did the American people when they elected you.”

I hate to think about how many countries McCain would have invaded or how bad the economy would be today. Americans definitely made the right choice.
