obama-blacksPresident Barack Obama will announce on Thursday a new White House initiative, called My Brother’s Keeper, to help young men of color.

The program will bring together foundations and companies to test ways to keep young male minorities in school and out of prison.

The effort will seek “to make sure that every young man of color who is willing to work hard and lift himself up has an opportunity to get ahead and reach his full potential,” according to a White House official. The president has been mentoring a small group of black teens he met in Chicago last year. Read more at the Washington Post.

ITS CALLED DONT STEAL OR MURDER AND YOU WONT BE IN PRISON
WOW IS THIS NOT REVERSE DISCRIMINATION OR WHAT

  2. to comment 1:
Clearly you are an angry mind. There are clearly socioeconomic and social examples of higher blessing and a community in poor shape can only hope for better beginnings. Clearly your retaliatory commentary is not Torah. You might want to learn about how a Torah mind does not agitate aggression. Torah brings us closer to Hashem. Not a sappy molecule of your own excuse. Never Again.

  3. It came to a point that no mater what the President says or does people will be insidious about it!

Since I was born every president has been criticized in the same manner the only thing that changes is if you are a democrat or a republican and the president on the opposite side.

Obama has been a president like all others before him some were more successful than others simply because circumstances were different on each case.
If I were to rate presidents on the preformance:
    1)Truman 2) Lincoln 3) Roosevelt 4)Wilson 5) Reagan 6) Eisenhower 7)Clinton 8) Nixon 9)Kennedy 10) Cleveland

    The worse:
    1)Harding 2)Grant 3)A. Johnson 4)Buchanan 5)G W Bush 6)Carter 7)Hoover 8)Polk 9)Tyler 10) Bush

  4. To #11:
You write: “Since I was born every president has been criticized in the same manner the only thing that changes is if you are a democrat or a republican and the president on the opposite side.”
This is not at all true. If President Bush would have done all the things that Obama did, he would have been criticized much much more than President Obama. The media totally minimizes any criticism of Obama.
Now if President Obama did the exact same things that Bush did, he would be criticized a lot less than Bush was.
Take, for example, the Chris Christie scandal. The amount of criticism he receives on any given day adds up to more criticism than Obama received in a few months for many more serious scandals. You may not condone what Cristie did, but any logical person knows that it is minor compared to all the Obama scandals. If Obama would have done what Cristie did, it would have barely made the news. Anyone who doesn’t see this blatant imbalance, is either not grounded in reality or just plain dishonest.

  5. Poster 12 ,I disagree with you. my memory serves me well, I have follow 7 presidents, all the same story. They all promise the same and all get the same beating. Republicans used to say the same thing about Clinton….Democrats say that the media has special interest of BIG corporations and Republicans say that the media is manipulated by liberal interest!
