security-meetingAs more details emerge about the four men behind the alleged bomb plot in the Bronx, the state’s Office of Homeland Security held an emergency meeting yesterday in Brooklyn to address safety and security concerns with community leaders. State Senator Eric Adams joined the state’s Homeland Security director in Boro Park to assure Jewish community leaders the state is doing everything it can to ensure their safety. “We are not going to localize our concern, we are going to protect the entire State of New York,” Adams said. “New York State is the target for those who want to hurt this country and we have the best team possible protecting the state at this time.””We were definitely reassured that all government agencies, law enforcement agencies are focused on the threats that we face. They’re taking all the precautionary measures to assure the security of our community,” said Gan Yisroel Director Rabbi Aron Ginsberg.

The four were arrested after authorities say they planted what they thought were explosives outside Riverdale Temple and nearby Riverdale Jewish Center.
