Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, who spent 16 months in jail on a bribery conviction, has asked Israel’s president to pardon him in order to erase his criminal record.

Olmert was the first Israeli prime minister to serve time in prison and be sentenced to jail. Last month, Olmert published a nearly 900-page scorched-earth book in which he continued to proclaim his innocence, blaming the harm to his political career on extremist forces in the right wing.

A pardon would allow Olmert to return to politics.

  1. In Plain English this means as follows. ” I will have the guts to sell out my country for the sake of Peace, so it is worth your while to Pardon me”.

How do I know this you ask ?

    Easy !

He practically offered up every thing when he WAS in position of power, as soon as the prosecutors started closing in on him.

Thank the one above that the Arafat [may he rot in pieces] did not accept his giveaway.
