Only In The Hamptons: Shabbos On A Yacht

A private yacht that will be host to a luxurious Shabbos for some 30 members of the Hamptons Jewish community.

Rabbi Berel Lerman, who’ll captain the event at the Sag Harbor Cove Yacht Club, made the arrangements  for the kosher at-sea Shabbos experience – putting on mezuzos earlier this week and arranging all the kosher food and other Shabbos needs.

The guests on the yacht are all members of Sag Harbor’s Center for Jewish Life and the Shabbos. This is the second year of this exotic Shabbos experience.

    It only needs an eiruv if they want to take something aboard that was there from before shabbos. The boat itself doesn’t need an eirv

  3. Bon Voyage. Shady eyes on the water can be laughing. Too much for shabbas. But a cruise maybe somewhere? Who knows. Is anyone happy with Kosherica? I want more information.

  4. Anything for some publicity. When Hashem appeared to Eliyahu, he was not in the wind, earthquake or fire, but in the still small voice. This is not the way to do kiruv rechokim.
