ukraine-strandedDozens of Israelis have been stranded since Sunday in Kiev, Ukraine, after the Ukrainian airline with which they had flown, AeroSvit, went bankrupt.

Most of the Israelis on the flight are Breslov and Lubavitcher chassidim, who visited the kever of the Baal Hatanya upon his 200th yahrtzeit.  While some of the passengers had their lodging expenses and meals paid for, some remained with no solution. The Chief Rabbi of Ukraine, Rabbi Moshe Reuven Asman, came to the airport and assisted the travelers in finding lodging and food.
