A vacationing Bill O’Reilly called into his own Fox News show to blast New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio as a “villain,” as City Hall’s relationship with the New York City Police Department continues to deteriorate in the wake of Saturday’s fatal shootings of two police officers. During the 6-minute rant, O’Reilly called for de Blasio’s immediate resignation.

“He is an anti-police individual,” O’Reilly said. “He’s been anti-police his whole career. Who’s his best friend? It’s Al Sharpton – a racial provocateur, an anti-cop individual who is de Blasio’s best friend. That says it all.

“Now de Blasio is actually proud that he told his teenage son he may face ‘dangers’ when interacting with the NYPD,” the “Factor” host continued. “What kind of responsible father tells that to his son? Then after witnessing because it was on videotape two of his police lieutenants get beaten by a mob, the mayor of New York City says it was an ‘alleged’ beating. That insulted every officer. All 35,000 NYPD were insulted. Allegedly? You saw it with your own eyes, you pinhead. That was the end. When he said that, he lost the police department.”

O’Reilly, whose grandfather was a member of the NYPD, applauded the officers who turned their backs on the mayor outside the hospital where their fellow officers were pronounced dead.

“Good for them. Good for them,” O’Reilly said. “This is an individual who should resign today. Today.”

On Monday, de Blasio asked protesters to put their demonstrations on hold until the two officers are buried.

“It’s a time for everyone to put aside political debates, put aside protests, put aside all of the things we will talk about in due time,” de Blasio said. “Let’s comfort these families, let’s see them through these funerals. Then debate can begin again.”

But O’Reilly said the mayor’s words fell on deaf ears.

“He’s lost the control of the police department and their respect,” O’Reilly said. “They will never come back, no matter what he says, because he sided with the protesters. That’s what he did. And he associated with provocateurs and he has disgraced the office of the mayor of New York City. He should resign.”

  1. I think the Mayor is responsible at least in part for the tragic murder of the 2 cops by aligning himself with the protesters and the likes of Al Sharpton which can be argued was a direct cause of the murder and as such should be held accountable.
If I were the parent or spouse of one of the dead cops I would speak to the media and specify in the strongest terms that the Mayor is not welcome at the funeral and if he shows will be asked to leave.

  2. In this instance, Bill is right. But of coarse DeBlala will never step down. He’s a Democrat. They NEVER step down. Only little sisy Republicans quit, because the media calls them the dreaded “R” word.

  3. Everyone should be very concerned about the handcuffing of the police dept which is starting to show its effects. If there is reduced security you can bet it will influence every other aspect of your life. The number one reason for any governments existence is security, everything else is a distant second.

Every major crime category other than auto theft is down since last year. Looks like the effects are positive.
