ou-emblem2The Orthodox Union Job Board is now featuring up to 200 security jobs available at John F. Kennedy International Airport. The jobs, which pay up to $22 per hour, include benefits and are available immediately to anyone who obtains a security license and takes an eight-hour course. The OU is offering the opportunity to take this course at OU headquarters in Manhattan this Friday, September 11, to begin at 9:00 a.m.

Upon completion of the class, participants will receive certificates of licenses. While other requirements for the job are necessary, such as no previous criminal record, being at least 18 years of age and undergoing fingerprinting by the state, this course is a crucial component of the licensing process. The cost of the class is $25.

Michael Rosner, Director of the Job Board, declared, “These job opportunities come at the right time for those unemployed or looking to enter the market. Now, you can get a stable and nice-paying job with benefits without the need of a college degree. The fact that the job itself does not interact with the general public and is away from the public eye further enhances the attractiveness for people who may be uncomfortable in a public setting. The OU Job Board is proud to be the lead clearinghouse for this project and we encourage unemployed and underemployed people within our communities to take advantage of this offer.”
