koselNot that anyone asked him, but a Palestinian Authority official doesn’t like bar mitzvahs at the Kosel.

Arutz Sheva reports that Ahmed Kariya, head of a PA committee on Jerusalem affairs, told Al-Ayyam that the bar mitzvah  celebrations are “an attempt to complete the Israeli occupation” of Yerushalayim.

A Muslim group called the Al-Aqsa Organization agreed, and told Al-Ayyam that the ceremonies constitute an attempt to “Judaize” Muslim holy places.

Those who are angered by the bar mitzvah ceremonies “are embarrassing themselves, and are showing who they are and what they really want,” said Rav Shmuel Rabinovich, rov of the Kosel, according to the Arutz Sheva report.

  1. “Judaize a Muslim holy place.” I have to look more carefully next time I go to the Kotel. I don’t recall ever noticing any Muslim praying there.

  2. Last I checked, there was nothing islamic about the Western Wall that Was built by jews. Am I missing something? Maybe Mohammed traded bubble gum cards for a cheap stake in dignity?

  3. okay Sir! We’ll discontinue the practice!
We had better cease the Bar Mitzva celelbrations at the Kosel lest the U.N. condemn us!

  4. If R incumbent president is re-elected he may side with the PA on many of their wishes and implement his AGENDA in THOSE 4 years in office.
