pa-finance-minister-shukri-bisharaIn a letter to the Israeli government, PA Finance Minister Shukri Bishara requested that half of its $300 million debt to the Israel Electric Corporation be forgiven, with repayment of the remaining $150 million spread over a period of 20 years.

The Palestinians’ debt to the IEC has ballooned over the years because the PA fails to collect money from customers. In addition, many users steal electricity through illegal hookups.

As a result, according to Israeli sources, Palestinians have grown accustomed to not paying for electricity.

  1. “Of course!”
“We’ll forgive and forget just like they do!”
“Now we’ll have spare cash to fund the next intifada!” “Oh, one more thing, if you could release another 200 killers, please! And the money we’ll use to give them their due life stipends!” “Thanks good bro!”

  2. How incredulous! They are out to murder us and destroy the country. They should be extremely grateful for whatever they get. They cannot have more until they give something in return. They are constantly offered things that they never could have without Israel, and spurn it all out of hatred. They are taking everything they get for granted, and perhaps it is time to send them to the corner to think about things.

  3. NO WAY, THEY KILL AND MUTILITE JEWS CONSTANTLY. AND THEY GET BILIIONS FROM THE WORLD GOVERNMENTS, WHERE IS ALL THE MONEY. GET IT FROM ARAFATS $15BILLION STASH IN EUROPE.

  4. I’m an Israeli citizen and I’ve never been a sponsor of terrorism. Can I have half my electric bills forgiven, please, and be allowed to pay the second half in installments, too?

    Sheesh.
