The Palestinians promised to “make life miserable” for President-elect Donald Trump if he decides to follow through on a campaign promise to move the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Yerushalayim.

“If people attack us by moving the embassy to Jerusalem…it is a violation of Resolution 181 of the U.N. General Assembly that was drafted by the U.S.…it means they are showing belligerency towards us…If they do that nobody should blame us for unleashing all of the weapons that we have in the U.N. to defend ourselves, and we have a lot of weapons in the U.N.,” Riyad Mansour, the Palestinian representative to the United Nations, said Nov. 11.

While Mansour acknowledged that his response could not be a Security Council resolution because the U.S. would veto that move, he suggested there could be other ways the Palestinians could undermine American efforts in the world body.

“Maybe I can’t have resolutions in the Security Council, but I can make their lives miserable everyday with precipitating a veto on my admission as a member state. Italy in 1949 received three consecutive vetoes on its admission to the U.N. from the Soviet Union. These are the kind of things that I can do,” he said. JNS.ORG

  1. Oh no. You think he’s serious? Should Trump back down because of the threat? Does he really need to make his life miserable? Maybe Mr. Trump should reconsider.

  2. Ooooh this is why Italy addresses their junk mail, the spam about the upcoming vote, with Jerusalem placed in “Palestine”!!!

  3. This might be one of those rare instances in which our Palestinian neighbours speak sincerely and truthfully. The only trouble with their reasoning is, they’d make his life equally miserable even if the new president were not to move the embassy.
