palin1Sarah Palin took the media and even President Barack Obama to task Thursday in a Thanksgiving message posted online. In a written note on her Facebook page addressed to “all 57 states” – a jab at a gaffe Obama made on the campaign trail in May 2008 – Palin blasted the president and the media for what she viewed as his overtly positive coverage.”Of course, the paragraph above is based on a series of misstatements and verbal gaffes made by Barack Obama (I didn’t have enough time to do one for Joe Biden),” wrote Palin on her Facebook page. “I have no complaint about that. Everybody makes the occasional verbal gaffe – even news anchors.”

Palin was referring to a statement she made Wednesday on “The Glenn Beck Program” in which she said she accidentally referred to North Korea instead of South Korea.

“This speaks to a bigger picture here that certainly scares me in terms of our national security policy,” Palin said on the air. “But obviously, we’ve gotta stand with our North Korean allies.”

Palin’s Facebook statement served as a warning shot to the media and to the White House. She has made it clear in the past several weeks that she is considering running for president, telling ABC that she could defeat Obama.

The gist of Palin’s memo was that the media should apply even standards to candidates and their slip-ups.

“The one-word slip occurred yesterday during one of my seven back-to-back interviews wherein I was privileged to speak to the American public about the important, world-changing issues before us,” wrote Palin. “If the media had bothered to actually listen to all of my remarks on Glenn Beck’s radio show, they would have noticed that I refer to South Korea as our ally throughout, that I corrected myself seconds after my slip-of-the-tongue, and that I made it abundantly clear that pressure should be put on China to restrict energy exports to the North Korean regime.”

That wasn’t the only matter that Palin aired in her Thanksgiving Day note. She also accused the media of treating her unfairly.

  1. Thank you. At least someone is speaking clearly and truthfully. Lets just wait to see how the spin doctors will spin this one…

  2. Can you please stop printing everything she says & does. it’s getting to the point where it’s not tznius any more. Why does a Ben Torah have to know everything about this lady?

  3. Untznius? That is a chauvinistic view of politics. She is an aidel and godly woman and is of great interest to those on the right in a completely tzniusdik manner.
