Palin Slams Obama for Silence On Libya Bloodshed

obama3Former Republican Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin took to her Facebook page Tuesday night to criticize the Obama administration’s response to the ongoing turmoil in Libya.

She noted the White House released statements about the earthquake in New Zealand, “but nothing on the slaughter in Libya?”

The former Republican vice presidential nominee said “now is the time to speak out.”

“For four decades this tyrant has held power. Gaddafi was Osama (bin Laden) before Osama hit the scene,” Palin wrote. “Gaddafi is a brutal killer and Libya – not to mention the world – would be better off if he were out of power.”

Violent anti-government protests continue in Libya while leader Moammar Gadhafi vows to hold onto power.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has condemned the violence in Libya, calling for a halt to the “unacceptable bloodshed” in response to civil unrest.

“The government of Libya has a responsibility to respect the universal rights of the people, including the right to free expression and assembly,” Clinton said in a statement Monday.

Palin said NATO and allies of the United States should establish a no-fly zone so “Libyan air forces cannot continue slaughtering the Libyan people.”

“We should not be afraid of freedom, especially when it comes to people suffering under a brutal enemy of America,” Palin wrote. “Here’s to freedom from Gaddafi for the people of Libya.”

Palin’s criticism follows similar comments she made about the situation in Egypt. She told the Christian Broadcasting Network the uproar was Obama’s 3 a.m. phone call and “that call went right to the answering machine,” a reference to a line used by then-presidential candidate Hillary Clinton against Obama in the 2008 presidential campaign.

  1. Why does Matzav cover Palin who is just a freak.

Hillary did the job. The President has agendas and the speaking out and non speaking out is calibrated using brains cells Palin lacks.

Matzav should never cover anything Palin says unless there are statements of fact in the content

  2. Mrs. Palin is a big wheel in the pie factory of eating pork chops and smiling for the cameras. I think shes in business like a chirping bird gets its heart set for a moment of glee when its worm finds its way to the birds babies. Shes just that exciting, really.
