parnassah-expoMere weeks after the Lakewood based Learn and Network organization announced plans for a mega “Nationwide Parnassah Expo and Networking Event” at the Meadowlands Exposition Center on February 12, 2013, the event has caught on like wildfire across North America.

“A major food manufacturer who reserved space at the expo told me,” relates Reb Duvi Honig, the visionary behind Learn and Network and Parnassah Expo, “‘How did you come up with this concept? This is exactly what we needed to help us find more packaging and shipping companies as well as hire more employees.'”

That renowned corporation is far from alone. A rapidly growing list of businesses, institutions and organizations are reserving some of the 60,000 plus square feet that will host the expo. The businesses are from every conventional and unique field imaginable, from communities throughout the United States and Canada.

The inaugural Parnassah Expo help in Lakewood last winter attracted an overflow crowd of over 7,000 men and women; the upcoming event anticipates tens of thousands of attendees, b’ezras Hashem. Prominent businessmen and activists from Boro Park, Flatbush, Marine Park, Monsey, Far Rockaway/Five Towns, Baltimore, Chicago, Los Angeles, Canada, and more, are actively on board with Rabbi Honig to reach out to their communities and encourage full participation.

Communities far and wide are discovering that the expo indeed lives up to its slogan: “Every age; Every stage.” Businessmen of all stripes can gain scores of new customers and resources and career seekers can advance in their desired fields.

The largest and most revolutionary section will be the “Industries” section, which is, in effect, several business expos in one. The section will include every resource imaginable for a particular business field, divided by industry to help attendees easily target the resources relevant to them. This section’s focus will be showcasing businesses that service and enhance businesses in that field, including resources that are not ordinarily known about.

The section will include exclusive subsections for the real estate and construction, where you can find everything from architects to exterminators to managers; a health care section from billing to medical centers to supplies; a technology section with everything from computer related products to technicians to online sales; an import/export and manufacturing section with a variety of helpful resources; along with an additional subsection featuring resources for a mix of other industries.

Additionally, there will be large sections for a job fair; social services and headhunting organizations; academic and vocational training courses; and business enhancement tools featuring services such as legal and marketing advice and office services that can be of great to use to virtually every business. There will also be a host of seminars delivered by respected names in the business world, and an “Investors Circle” to match investment capital with promising ideas and a networking corner in each expo section to make invaluable contacts for whatever you need.

“It is very satisfying to watch the public’s response,” says Rabbi Honig. “B’ezras Hashem, thousands of people will be helped.”

  1. Excellent. Halvai vaiter. We need much, much more of this kind of thing. We can no longer rely on a few askanim and prosperous shvers to support the community. Kol hakavod to “Learn and Network.”
