House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) said that he has seen no evidence that the FBI planted a “spy” in President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign to “hurt his chances at the polls,” according to the Associated Press. Ryan said that House Oversight Chair Trey Gowdy’s (R-SC) assessment of “spygate”—that the FBI did nothing wrong—was “accurate,” and he has “no evidence to the contrary” of what Gowdy concluded.
Both Ryan and Gowdy attended a classified briefing on the allegations that the FBI used an “informant’ in its Russia meddling investigation to gain access to Trump campaign officials. “I am even more convinced that the FBI did exactly what my fellow citizens would want them to do when they got the information they got,” said Gowdy on Sunday. “And that it has nothing to do with Donald Trump.” Ryan also came out against the president’s assertion that he has the authority to pardon himself, saying “no one is above the law.” Read more.

Trump doesn’t need to offer evidence of anything; there are more than enough data-points to call this “spygate” no matter how many times the Intelligence Community tries to say that Halper was but a humble elderly FBI “informant” trying to help Trump by rooting out dastardly

  2. Even Clapper said there was evidence. How can you say there wasn’t? You Trump hater, what are you still doing sitting behind President Trump? When are you finally leaving?

And for the record, the Obama Administration paid Stefan Halper $282,000. to spy on the Trump campaign in 2016 and another $129,280 in 2017.
Not only 1 spy but at least 7.
