Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren has suggested that she and Donald Trump “put aside” their differences and work together for the sake of the American economy. Warren’s proposal was a far cry from the insults she leveled at the Republican nominee throughout the campaign, often calling him out for his inflammatory rhetoric and labeling him a “pathetic coward.”
Warren once described the Trump-Pence duo as “two small, insecure, weak men who use hate & fear to divide our country.”
The feeling was mutual, however, with Trump calling Warren “a terrible human being” and a “terrible senator” as recently as Monday.
In a statement released after Trump’s surprise win, Warren took a dignified stance on the pair’s vicious feud, saying the two should work together and expressing hope that Trump will act as a leader “with respect and concern for every single person in this country, no matter who they are.” Read more at CBS NEWS.
