Guatemala has opened an embassy in Yerushalayim two days after the U.S. moved its embassy to the contested capital city, sparking terror activity from Palestinians.
Palestinians protested after President Trump’s pledge to move the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Yerushalayim was fulfilled on Monday.
Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu attended the Guatemalan embassy’s opening today in west Jerusalem. “It’s not a coincidence that Guatemala is opening its embassy in Jerusalem right among the first. You were always among the first. You were the second country to recognize Israel,” Netanyahu said at the ceremony.
Paraguay has said it will follow the U.S. and Guatemala by moving its embassy from Tel Aviv to Yerushalayim by the end of May. Read more at Anadolu Agency.
