  1. The jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus), also known as jack tree, jakfruit, or sometimes simply jack or jak, is a species of tree in the fig, mulberry and breadfruit family (Moraceae).

  2. got it at bingo for $3.99 a lb and they sold it by the slice so we can taste it without going broke. it came out slightly over 1 lb. less than $5

  3. I saw the exact same fruit in Shoprite on Avenue I, in Brooklyn, for $1.00 a few weeks ago. I kid you not.
