Chaim Levi Gruner is on a trip of a lifetime, and another highlight was experienced last night.
As Matzav.com first reported, Chaim Levi, a 20-year-old student at Yeshiva Mayan Hatorah of Lakewood, dreamed of visiting the holy land of Eretz Yisroel. But traveling overseas for Chaim Levi is no simple matter. Because of complicated medical equipment that helps him breathe at every moment, flying on an airplane is no simple matter.
An online donation page was set up and Chaim Levi went about trying to raise money to fund his trip in order to enable the necessary medical equipment and medical personnel to be brought along.
Lakewood’s Special Children Center, led by Mrs. Jenine Shwekey, was instrumental in organizing and sponsoring the trip, having maintained a close relationship with Chaim Levi.
The story on Matzav.com about the trip was seen by Los Angeles philanthropist Shlomo Yehuda Rechnitz.
“After seeing the report on Matzav, I wanted very much to help Chaim Levi,” Shlomo Yehuda told Matzav.
Shlomo Yehuda decided to co-sponsor Chaim Levi’s trip, which has included visits to the Kosel and other mekomos hakedoshim.
Chaim Levi expressed his desire to meet the Belzer Rebbe, which he merited to do last night:
