moradik, while goyim have their college initiation lehavdil and the Zionists (even frum ones, unfortunately) lehavdil have their army “induction” where they are urged to leave everything they learned at home behind. we have fakert to learn more and bring Torah into us.
Pardon my ignorance, but the pictures look like a reunion, or a mass game of Jewish Geography, not talmidei chachomim figuring out who they will learn best with. Next time show us the mesikus of their learning. Kudos!
To me it looks like a bunch of people schmoozing and wasting time. Why is this done on the first day of the zman? My son’s yeshiva in EY does this after shiur on the last day of the zman so they start on Alef Elul, not Beis Elul.
And before anyone responds that this was instituted by R’ Schneur TZATZAL, he was dealing with 1000 people, not 6000+.
Tremendously inspiring. I look forward to each time Matzav posts these all important pictures.
what a royal waste of time

Pardon my ignorance, but what is a Chavrusah Tumult?
