Please do a cheshbon nefesh and ask yourself if you understand why we have Gedolim. Aside from their Torah, being mechazek an out of town shull were shiurim and harbatza torah is taking place is EXACTLY what they should be doing.
Very unique. Realistically, I don’t see how you’re going to get that cement from Eretz Yisroel all the way to Miami without it drying up.
I hope that this will not become a new trend, where everytime one wants to open/build a new Shul, they are going to fly to Eretz Yisroel and bother our Gedolim with this shtuyot. You want to get a Bracha? Gezunte heiyt. But why make a whole production out of it? You think our Gedolim are playthings R”L? We live in a generation where we put a lot of emphasis on chitzoinios/marketing and we are mivazeh our Gedolim in the process. This has to stop.
If it was truly lishem shomayim, why were the pictures necessary? Why is it on the Internet? Ever heard of tznei haleches? When they get back home, they can show their tzibbur all the pictures/videos/endorsements. This is all marketing and the Gedolim shouldn’t be used for this. It is not kavodik. I’m not singling out this particular Shul. I’m just saying this is becoming a very disturbing trend. Matzav and the others are always showing pictures of Rebbes being forced to come and put Mizuzos on the latest pizza shop, sushi bar, hat store, etc… They are using/abusing Rabbanim to make a few dollars. Sorry, if you disagree but it is a tremendous Chillul Hashem R”L.
I like that your name is a ringing endorsement of yourself – but my endorsement you won’t get.
And no, I have never heard “tzinei haleches” – but I have heard of Hatzneiah Leches. I have also heard the term “Kodak Moment”. Is it so farfetched to believe that the pictures were taken to remember the moment? Is it so unreasonable, and such a transgression of tzinei haleches (sic) to want to take a picture with Gadol?
And don’t be sorry if other people disagree, you don’t owe them an apology for disagreeing with your buffonery.
Reb Zelig, He is probably an 18 yr old bochur who IYH will develop a mature enough understanding of the world one day through a true “yiidishkeit” lens and realize as you put it his previous “buffonery.”
Please don’t do this to our gedolim
Just wish that community to be matzliach
And don’t make up things that was a great idea to recive brochos from gedolim for a nice foundation…

Is this necessary? The godoylim are busy with paskening and learning a sugya. Any way good luck, I heard this is a big event.

nice people
very nice Rov
Very special thing to do. Very nice idea, they should be matzliach!
who are they…???
This insanity is getting way out of control. These are gedolim and should be treated as such, not celebrities being paid for their endorsements.
To the first two commentators, don’t you think that it’s a bit presumptuous to tell our Gedolim how to spend their time?
Obviously, the Gedolim felt that this is NOT a waste of time!
The smiles on their faces speak volumes, and they were clearly very impressed, enthusiastic and delighted by this Binyan Shel Mizvah.
Although, to be perfectly honest, I’m not certain why you would think it is a waste of time in the first place.
To be mechazek a kehilla from half way across the world, to speak to them in learning and share with them divrei hisorerus is a waste of time??
