Why is this non-event worthy of coverage on Matzav? The ziknei gedolei hador -Rav Steinman and Rav Kanievsky- along with the Moetzes Gedolei Yisroel and the all the major Roshei Yeshiva in Eretz Yisroel are against this protest.
A rag-tag group of people with an agenda that has nothing to do with giyus has corralled while they run their newspaper and stir up street trouble in a sad effort to get back at the leadership of Klal Yisroel in Eretz Yisroel which has turned its back on them rendering them irrelevant.
Above all, we in America know that our Gedolim (from Rav Moshe Feinstein and Rav Yaakov Kamenetsky to Rav Elya Svei and the Novominsker Rebbe) have never, ever mixed in to issues in Eretz Yisroel and certainly not when there is an internal chilukei deiyos. Shame on the tumulers who have dragged in others to the mud of the machlokes.
May the zchus of the tzadikim who truly stand at the helm of our generation, who never utter a negative word about those who seek to undermine them, stand by us until we merit the coming of Mashiach.
