rav-schustal-rav-brudny-schi[Photos below.] This past week, Rav Shlomo Feivel Schustal, rov of Bais Medrash Avreichim of Flatbush and rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Gedolah Torah Temimah in Brooklyn, and Rav Elya Brudny, R”M in the Mirrer Yeshiva of Brooklyn, paid a visit to the School for Children with Hidden Intelligence (SCHI) in Lakewood, NJ, to see for themselves the phenomenal accomplishments of the special students of SCHI.

Years ago, parents of special needs children, armed only with limited resources, had to stand by helplessly as their children struggled to succeed. Since its founding by Rabboi Osher Eisemann eighteen years ago, SCHI’s warm and dedicated staff has helped these children surpass even the highest expectations.

SCHI services children and adults with over 30 different diagnoses. Over 50 former SCHI students are now enrolled in mainstream schools. SCHI offers therapy free of charge to students who cannot afford services and experiences a deficit of over $1 million per year.

The recent visit by the roshei yeshiva took place ahead of SCHI’s Chai Dinner, which will be held on February 10th at Lake Terrace Hall in Lakewood, NJ.
