Several members of the Tantzers – a group that entertains and brings joy to sick and underprivileged children in the tri-state area – were injured in a serious car accident this evening on the Palisades Parkway South in New City, NY.

The men were traveling to Boro Park, Brooklyn, from Monsey, NY, where they had attended an event in the Wesley Hills neighborhoods with about another 15 members of the Tantzers to uplift ill children. The driver of the vehicle, upon spotting a deer on the road, turned the wheel sharply, sending the vehicle careening off the road and into a tree.

The minivan they were driving was totaled.

The accident occurred at about 11:45 p.m. near Exit 10 on the parkway.

Two victims were said to be in very serious condition.

Hatzolah took one victim to Nyack Hospital and another to the Joel A. Halpern Trauma Center in Westchester.

Tragically, one victim had to undergo the amputation of an arm.

All are asked to daven for the victims as doctors work to address their injuries. Please daven for Alexander Zisha ben Aliza Fraidel and Yeshayahu Dov Yehuda ben Shoshana.
