[Photos and videos below.] The levaya of the Vizhnitzer Rebbe of Bnei Brak, Rav Moshe Yehoshua Hager, drew an estimated 150,000 people earlier today. Many streets in Bnei Brak, including Rechov Chazon Ish, have been closed to vehicular traffic. Thoroughfares in Ramat Gan were closed as well.
The levaya took place 17 years, to the day, after some 200,000 people attended the levaya of Rav Shlomo Zalmen Auerbach zt”l in Yerushalayim.
The levaya, including the kevurah, was completed before shkiah, as stated in the tzavaah of the Rebbe.
