The Polish government will summon the U.S. ambassador in Warsaw because of an article claiming Poland was responsible for the Holocaust, the foreign ministry announced Sunday.
The article was by FBI director James Comey, and was published in the Washington Post this week. Come wrote, “In their minds, the murderers and accomplices of Germany, and Poland, and Hungary, and so many, many other places didn’t do something evil. They convinced themselves it was the right thing to do, the thing they had to do.”
Poland’s ambassador to the U.S. called it “unacceptable” and the country claims it implies it was complicit in the genocide. Read more.
