Polar Vortex Coming Back for Summer

polar-vortexYour complaints about the heat and humidity have been answered: a polar vortex is headed toward the U.S. A deep pool of cold air will overtake parts of the country’s north and northeast next week.

Pushing temperatures down as much as 30 degrees below average, the chill could send the Great Lakes and Upper Midwest down into the 40-degree range. The unseasonal weather may have something to do with Japan’s Typhoon Neoguri. Read more at The Washington Post.

  1. I just checked the long range forecast on accuweather. It mentions nothing about this. It does show a “dip” into the upper 70s for a day or two before going back into the 90s.
