Police Remove Peddlers And Beggars From Kever Rashbi In Meron

The police removed collectors from the Kever Rashbi in Meron, due to them harassing the visitors and worshipers there, and often quarreling among themselves and causing noise.

During the operation, three suspects were arrested who opposed the evacuation, violated public order. Following an interrogation, they were released under restrictive conditions, including agreeing not to return to the kever Rashbi for 15 days.

A total of 15 tents were evacuated from the area.

  1. I just spent a few days there. A few eat and sleep in the Kohanim shtibel and the smell makes it impossible to learn or daven in those rooms. The reckless eating of food dropped off from simchos or events is inappropriate for a kever of a Tanna and the cats who follow the people create their own type of nuisance. There Bare people who pitch tents on the hillside and the hillside becomes their personal “lack of hygiene” center. The kever really needs to be treated with much ore dignity and respect.
