A new survey found that an overwhelming percentage of Orthodox Jews support President Donald Trump.

According to the poll, which was commissioned by the US-based haredi Ami Magazine, 91% of American Orthodox Jews gave Trump a “Satisfactory” or “Very Satisfactory” rating. Only 8.4% said that they were unhappy with the president’s performance.

The poll suggests a deep divide between Orthodox Jews and their non-observant counterparts. In twin polls of Israeli and American Jews published in June by the American Jewish Committee, 57 percent of American Jews disapproved of Trump’s performance while only 34 percent approved.

  1. So President Trump is NOT an evil white bigoted anti semitic racist?! I thought only true conservatives like Jeb Bush, Kasich, Schiff, & Romney were good for the Jews? I must of had my head in the sand. YUP

  2. “The poll suggests a deep divide between Orthodox Jews and their non-observant counterparts.”

That started about 3300 years ago with Korach, and continues to this day.

  3. Those who are “unhappy” with the President are NO DOUBT listeners, believers and relying on CNN and other Fake News blindly. And because of that they surely also “know” that the Russians colluded even if there’s no evidence. I wish Matzav would post and interview with these guys and find out why they’re “unhappy” with the President and whether they’d prefer Hillary the Devil even with ALL her corruptions just in order to get new fridges.

  4. This is misleading.

It should read 90% of Ami readers support trump.

That is a big difference from 90% of all orthodox people.

Not all orthodox people are Haredi. And Ami readers do not represent all of orthodoxy.

    • Corey Booker, who appeared yesterday in a photo with pro-Palestinian demonstrators carrying a sign criticizing the security wall between Gaza and Eretz Yisrael, will be endorsed by Rabbanim in Lakewood, Teaneck, and Passaic, just proving again that a candidate who is “good for the Yeshiva community” is not necessarily the best candidate for the Torah Jew who works for a living and who wants to have a strong Eretz Yisrael.

    • The 8% represents Satmar in Williamsburg and Kiryas Yoel who automatically support Democrats in exchange for massive entitlements.

  5. 1) We need more info about the poll to evaluate how reliable/accurate it may be, as polls can be manipulative and misleading, as is well known.

    2) The poll was of people in the tri-state area, in other words blue states that Trump lost and that are not seen to be in play.

    3) It seems that less than three hundred people were involved, based on the Ami website.
