Half of likely voters support President Trump’s temporary ban on travelers to the U.S. from six Muslim-majority nations, according to a new poll.

Forty-one percent are opposed to the measure in the survey released Tuesday by the right-leaning Rasmussen Reports.

Pollsters also found 52 percent think Trump’s executive order is aimed at preventing terrorists from reaching the U.S., while 39 percent believe it is intended to target Muslims. Read more at The Hill.

  1. The answer to this is to have these “travelling” Muslims live in the neighborhoods of these Liberals that want to allow them into the country. Far better would be if they let them live in their houses for the first 3 months as part of the vetting process.
Wonder if then they wouldn’t change their minds.
They don’t mind letting them in if they live elsewhere out-of-sight.
The liberals in England thought that way also. Now they are rethinking it all. Good luck

  2. If you take a poll with liberals, can half of them be sane? Or was this poll taken with good and bad Muslims?

  3. Then may I suggest that all those opposed should open their homes schools businesses etc to al. The muslims they want and let them deal with the consequences of their so called compassion let’s c how long it takes for these “mugged liberals” to go conservative

  4. Strange, there are close to 50 Muslim-majority countries in the world. The travel ban (Executive Order 13780) applies to six of them. So how is it that a federal appeals court in Richmond, VA determined it constituted religious discrimination?

Given the 50/50 support among the American public (despite the bad press), it seems to me the courts should not be jumping into the fray. Here in Israel, for years the High Court had a tendency to stick their noses into political affairs (that could be changing).

I don’t see why Trump had to do this in such a brash way. Security at Ben-Gurion Airport relies very heavily on profiling, but they don’t make a show of it. Why couldn’t Trump have quietly given directives to start heavily vetting travelers from certain countries, rather than an outright ban? He should have known it would be a very touchy subject. He has a tendency to be way too ostentatious. I’m all for democracy and transparency, but you gotta get the job done, and not constantly pick fights.
