Younger Republicans have more liberal opinions on issues of immigration than do older Republicans, according to a new poll.

A poll conducted by the Public Religion Research Institute found 41 percent of Republicans in all think immigrants face a lot of discrimination in the United States, the Associated Press reported.

But among Republicans ages 18 to 29 years old, 60 percent say they think immigrants face a lot of discrimination in the U.S. Only about one-third of voters ages 65 and older say the same.

The poll found that 63 percent of Americans overall think there’s a lot of discrimination against immigrations.

A slight majority, 55 percent, of Republicans of all ages think immigrants in the U.S. illegally should have a path to citizenship “if certain conditions are met.”

But among younger Republicans ages 18 to 29, 62 percent think immigrants in the U.S. should have a legal path to citizenship. Read more at The Hill.

  1. If these “younger republicans” are republicans by name and democrats in their heart like John McCain, then yes, there can be 60% nut jobs.

  2. I’d this about illegal immigrants or legal? Also younger snowflakes have been trained to keep their opinions to themselves. Worthless polls. And besides aren’t we in the age of useless polls?

  3. Sounds like another fake unprofessional poll. How big and how varied was the sample group and how were the pollsters assured that the subjects were indeed the republicans?
