meir-porushMK Meir Porush of United Torah Judaism today dismissed a call by presidential hopeful MK Meir Sheetrit of Hatnua on European Jews to move to Israel, in the wake of the strengthening of extremist parties in the European parliament.

Arutz Sheva reports that Porush responded to Sheetrit by saying that the situation in Israel for chareidim may not be better than in Europe. “Over there they are interested in preventing the Jews from their share of the budget and here it is done to the chareidim,” he charged.

  1. That is correct! Persecution against Jews target Judaism and saddly some Jews target other Jews because of their loyalty to Judaism. Zionism or European antisemitism are trying to achieve the same… but for different reasons.

  2. In response to comment #3 –

“Rabbi Avraham Goldstein” – don’t get carried away with your emotions. Even Porush didn’t talk with the kind of 100% certainty you express, and he lives in the holy land of Israel, and is active in the scene there, while you do not.

Your statement alleging that “Zionism or European antisemitism are trying to achieve the same… but for different reasons.” is extreme and outrageous. If it were true, why are so many frum Yidden always going to Eretz Yisroel, and living there? Have masses of them left recently? Or do you identify with the extreme Helbrans cult who did leave years ago?

Let us stick to facts here and not get carried away with extreme rhetoric.

  3. The problems we have here are part of the transition from a State controlled by the unJews to one controlled by Jews. We are the future here and the problems we have are because the unJews know with absolute certainty that their time is at an end. They are desperate and hysterical.

    In Europe?

There is no future for individual Jews or communities outside of Israel. It is total fantasy fueled by heresy that tricks people to believing otherwise. The only choice Jews outside of Israel have is: do you want to come home with dignity and most of your wealth or do you want to be chased through the streets with a blood thirsty mob at your heals?

  4. Early 20th century redux: Zionists say come to EY to escape euro antisemitism; oh, but wait, we have some surprises in store for you…

  5. Don’t fool your self the foundation of zionisom is not Judaism or ertz yesroel rather independence. Just a bit history they were ready to make the state elsewhere plus in the beginning they even through overbord the tifflin of ppl who just came from the Holocaust.

  6. Even the Chofetz Chaim said that Eretz Yisrael (not Medinas Yisrael) would be the last refuge for Jews before Moshiach.

Eretz Yisroel is our eternal inheritance from Hashem. Medinas Yisrael is a fleeting blip in the long history of would-be non-Torah rulers of the land.

  7. Porush finally called a spade a spade!

There are dozens of yungeleit who have already chosen or are considering going back to
    America
oh and professionals (in my own family) as well

(To the ‘Israel’s always right even when they’re wrong’ whiners:

How does Germany which has similar tax brackets to Is. gives out 5x the benefits ?!)

    But we digress…

  8. I think that this MK is on to something in fact he’s dead on. These self hating anti semitic jews like to talk out of both sides of their mouth. On the one hand real jews are not entitled to the same level of funding or rights and perhaps not even entitled to bus service(according to Yair Lapid). But, come on over here all of you it’s just great over here. Never mind these clowns they’re completely clueless…

  9. The safest place for real Jews will only be Eretz Yisrael. After Moshiach,(as one of the commenters above wrongly stated & gave the impression Jews can live elsewhere, NO, only EY) the ONLY place where any Jew will live will be Eretz HaKodesh. But, we are talking about now. Now the Land is not governed by true Jews, therefore, the sinah towards the religious Jews, but the religious (all kinds, whether chareidi, dati leumi, traditional, sephardi, ashkenazi, chassidish, yeshivish, doesn’t matter) are, B’H, multiplying and will soon lead. The end of the Erev Rav is near; they have done more damage to the Jewish youth of the past 65 years than is even imagineable. More Jews must awaken and realize the Geulah is close at hand, so wake up to Truth.
