Prince Philip, the husband of British monarch Queen Elizabeth, has been admitted to hospital with an infection.
The Duke of Edinburgh, 96, missed the formal opening of British parliament after he was taken to a private hospital in central London on Tuesday night.
“The Duke of Edinburgh was admitted to King Edward VII Hospital in London last night, as a precautionary measure, for treatment of an infection arising from a pre-existing condition,” a spokesman for the Palace said. Read more at The Sydney Morning Herald.
