  1. Mr. and Mrs. Becher are a beloved and caring couple who have opened their home to many teenage boys who need a place for any number of reasons. They offer warmth and love in a remarkable non judgmental environment. They involve themselves with chesed without fanfare. They are kind and generous to all people they encounter. Although he has given all the credit to this young man who definitely deserves the credit it was Mr. Becher’s idea upon hearing the young mans story to start and finance project tzitzis. In the zchus of all the mitzvos being done as a result of this project, May Hashem bench the Becher’s with parnassa, health, nachas from their children (both their own and those who they care for) and continued success in everything they do.

  2. I am glad there is finally a forum to thank the Becher’s for saving my life. I arrived at their door at age 17 totally soaked on a freezing cold rainy night. I was totally lost in life, thrown out of multiple yeshivas, walking the streets at all hours of the night doing who knows what. I will remember the smile, warm meal and dry socks i got that night for the rest of my life. I remember leaving their house that night with an entirely new outlook on life and that outlook along with their constant guidance has taken me from being a dropout at 17 to learning my 3rd year in EY. I cant remember how many times i have called and texted Mr. B 4AM or 4PM he always responds and is always there for me. Had hashem not guided me to their house on that night i would be dead, in jail or a drug addict by now.

    • very nice but you should not have needed that. their should have been a welcoming yeshiva to catch you before you slipped between the cracks.

      • Unfortunately life doesn’t work out that way. When your 17, have absentee parents and low self esteem there is no one looking out for you including yourself.

  3. Mr and Mrs. B are amazing people. They have and are always available to anyone in need. Most importantly they treat everyone with love regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender identity, ability, religion/spirituality, nationality and socioeconomic status.
