Vladimir Putin declared today before the Russian parliament that Moscow will be undeterred in its plan to annex Crimea, despite the backlash from the West.
“Crimea has always been an integral part of Russia in the hearts and minds of people,” he said in a speech at the Grand Kremlin Palace. Putin signed an order “to approve the draft treaty between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Crimea on adopting the Republic of Crimea into the Russian Federation.” Read more at The New York Times.
