candle[Shivah info below.] It is with great sadness that we report the passing of R’ Binyomin Greenspan z”l, a senior member of Boro Park Hatzolah. 

R’ Binyomin passed away on Shavuos at Maimonides Medical Center in Boro Park after being hospitalized for multiple weeks following an incident of cardiac arrest.

R’ Binyomin was a beloved member of the community and a baal chessed with a heart of gold who extended himself in any way he could for others. In between his many acts of chessed, R’ Binyomin served as a elementary school teacher for boys at Yeshiva of Brooklyn, located at the corner of Avenue L and Ocean Parkway in Flatbush.

The levaya will be held today at 1 p.m. at the Boro Park Hatzolah Garage, located at 16th Avenue, between 52nd and 53rd Streets, in Boro Park. The aron will then be flown from JFK Airport to Eretz Yisroel for kevurah there.

UpdateR’ Nachum, R’ Elazar, R’ Sholom, R’ Yossi and R’ Ari Greenspan are sitting shiva on the petira of their brother until Monday morning at 1320 54th Street.    Shacharis – K’Vasikin, Mincha – 7:45, Maariv – 9:30.

  1. I am seriously heartbroken over the loss of my old time friend. Binyomin had sterling middos, a great attitude, he knew everything about everything, and was musical to boot.
    If I’m not mistaken he’s one of the last RV hatzolah members.
    Binyomin I love you.

  2. Most of his selfless acts will go unknown but he touched many people in many ways and wads always a bastion of chizuk for those who needed it and always putting a smile on people’s facws5

  3. He was my sons math teacher for 7th & 8th grade in YOB yeshiva of Brooklyn. Was loved by parents & students. Had an excellent shprach with the boys.
