It is with great sadness that we report the tragic petirah of R’ Chezky Ehrenfeld z”l of Boro Park, who passed away after suffering from a heart attach while driving on the New York State Thruway en route from Montreal to New York. The car drove off the road when the cardiac arrest set in. Mrs. Ehrenfeld, a daughter of Reb Yankel Unger of Williamsburg, and their six children who were in the car at the time were taken to St Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh. Boruch Hashem, they survived relatively unscathed.
R’ Chezky, who hailed from Monsey, NY, was 35.
Following the heart attack, emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene. In the meantime, messages went out across the Boro Park and Williamsburg communities to daven for R Yechezkel Shraga ben Sarah Baila, but unfortunately R’ Chezky did not survive.
