R’ Chezky Ehrenfeld z”l

candle-small6It is with great sadness that we report the tragic petirah of R’ Chezky Ehrenfeld z”l of Boro Park, who passed away after suffering from a heart attach while driving on the New York State Thruway en route from Montreal to New York. The car drove off the road when the cardiac arrest set in. Mrs. Ehrenfeld, a daughter of Reb Yankel Unger of Williamsburg, and their six children who were in the car at the time were taken to St Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh. Boruch Hashem, they survived relatively unscathed.

R’ Chezky, who hailed from Monsey, NY, was 35.

Following the heart attack, emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene. In the meantime, messages went out across the Boro Park and Williamsburg communities to daven for R Yechezkel Shraga ben Sarah Baila, but unfortunately R’ Chezky did not survive.

  1. Yomar letzaroseinu dai- during the three weeks these tragedies seem to happen, and we haven;t even begun the drei vocehn. Oy! Hashem! Have Rachmonus on the poor kinder and the wife, what a terrible awful tragedy. it is time for moshiahc to come

  2. As a neighbor all I can say is Burach dayan Ha’emes! No words can be said to explain this terrible terrible tragedy! What a nice and special person chesky was! So eidel such a mentch! Such a shock!

  3. going on theline that alkaline said. My uncle, who’s a Rosh Kollel in Israel tells us and reminds us and klal yisrael to be careful during these weeks, especially because it is such a serious time for klal yisrael and unfortunately so much has happened to us and our brethren
