glauberThe young chosson took some moments on his wedding day to write a letter thanking his parents for never sparing time or money if he needed, say, a tutor or an eye doctor, and for sending him to yeshiva “to learn your values, religious and worldly, until I reached to this current lucky moment.”

The following is the translation of the letter written by R’ Nachman Glauber which has been widely circulated since his tragic petirah. May the inspiration provided by the letter serve as a zechus for his and his wife’s and baby’s neshamos.

To my dear parents:

During these imminent joyous and highly spiritual moments of my life, when I’m heading to my chupah to begin my own mishpacha, I feel a sting in my heart that I’m already leaving your warm home.

nachman-glauber-letterI feel an obligation to thank you for everything you did for me since I was a small child. You did not spare time, energy and money, whether it was when I needed a private tutor to learn or an eye doctor or general encouragement. Also, later on, you helped me to succeed in my Torah learning, you sent me to yeshiva to learn your values, religious and worldly, until I reached to this current lucky moment.

Even though I’m leaving your home (actually I’m not leaving, I’m bringing in an additional family member) I want to tell you that all the education and values you taught me I’ll – with Hashem’s help – take along with me in my new home, and continue to plant the same education in my home and children that Hashem will grant me.

But since children do not grasp what parents are, and how much they do for them, and only when he matures and – with Hashem’s help – have their own children, they could realize it. And unfortunately I may have caused you a lot of pain; I am asking you to please forgive me.

I’m asking you, I’m dependent on your tefillos, daven for me and my kallah, and I will daven for you.

I daven to Hashem that Totty and Mommy should see lots of pride and delight from me and my special kallah, until the coming Moshiach Tzidkeinu, bimheira b’yomeinu.

From your son who admires and thanks you and will always love you,

Nachman

  1. #1 Tisha Kabin – You don’t know what the parents wishes are. Perhaps it gives them some nechama to see this letter published so that all can see a glimpse of their special child. A letter like this inspires people and could leave a lasting impact.
    Please don’t judge.

  2. WOW I HAVE NO WORDS ABOUT THIS POWERFUL LETTER.
MAY THIER NESHAMOS HAVE AN ALIYAH AND, MAY WE SEE MOSHIACH BIMHEIRA BIYAMEINU AMEN.

  3. This was beautiful. Heartbreaking. #1, apparently Nachman’s parents were the recipients of this letter and disclosed it with the intent that others should and will see it.

  4. Number 1 meant that the picture is not tzinuyus because there is a female in it. Number 1 is a disturbed psychotic being.

  5. I agree that the picture should not be published. Who knows how many people were nichshol by looking at it. Is that a benefit to their souls?

  6. Who knows how many more people were inspired by the role models of beautiful yiddishkeit this special couple represented. Maybe if more girls saw pictures of how a tzniyusdik woman should look, there would be less problems with tzniyus.

  7. YOU ARE RIGHT! BECAUSE TZNIUS IS STILL OUR PRIDE AND GLORY!

    AS The Torah states:
    ???????? ?????? ?????? Holy You Should Be!

By us wearing immodest clothing we distance the Shechina (Divine Presence) from us Chas Vesholom.

    As the Torah states:
??? ???? ?? ???? ??? ??? ?????? Immodesty should not be seen among you! Or Hashem will c”v withdraw his presence from you!

“”If we cause the Shechina to departs, we are stripped of our protection ?”?””

Maybe this is why we see so many Tzoros, illness, kids at risk, problems with Sholom Bayis, crushing poverty and unbearable tragedies, that have befallen us.

In the words of the Holy Chofetz Chaim tz”l in a famous letter:
“A huge fire has broken out in many places through the despicable styles which the power of uncleanliness has unleashed”………. THIS IS WHY BLESSINGS AND PROSPERITY HAVE LEFT US……. To a large degree this despicable style negates the statement of the Torah:
“Your camp should be holy and there should not be found therein erveh”

Tight-fitting, short, flashy clothing, low cut necklines, long and extravagant Sheitels, flashy jewelry, stylish hats, perfume etc. are contrary to Tznius standards. Besides being the cause of other people’s sins.

    My Dear Sisters!
Please Let us wear clothes that are befitting for Jewish Daughters. This will cause the Shechina to reside in our midst. This will bring many blessings upon ourselves, and ultimately bring the Geulah Sheleima ??”?

????? ???? ??????? ?????? ?????! The key to our salvation is in your hands!

Lets take advantage Now, and still bring the Geula this Chodesh Nissen, remember it’s up to us Yiddishe women who dress Tznius to bring Moshiach.
