Kashrus Magazine, the Brooklyn-based periodical for the kosher consumer, has chosen Rabbi Aron Musat of Chicago, IL as their 4th annual “Mashgiach of the Year” and presented him with a check for $1,000. The presentation was made on November 11 at Kosherfest, the world’s largest trade show for the kosher industry. KASHRUS Magazine’s December/January issue will feature a full interview with Rabbi Musat. Previous awardees were Rabbi Favish Moster, Brooklyn, NY (2013), Moshe Stander, Boynton Beach, FL (2012) and Gedalia Silverstein, Atlanta, GA (2011).
Rabbi Musat was chosen from among the nominees of the 1,269 kosher agencies worldwide. He has worked for the Chicago Rabbinical Council (cRc) for 12 years, and has served as the mashgiach at the Lieberman Center for Health & Rehabilitation, a senior living facility in Skokie, IL, for the past 9 years. He oversees kosher production of over 1,000 meals daily for the residents, as well as “meals on wheels,” hospitals, and nursing homes. Rabbi Musat’s expertise has been noted, and he was called to assist in the opening of new kosher healthcare facilities in Rockville, MD and Columbus, OH.

produced at Lieberman’s), I had no idea the mashgiach of our food was of such a meritorious and prestigious caliber. How wonderful!!

mind when I eat one of “your” delicious kosher
