Rabbi Eli Biegeleisen Installed as Rabbi of the Lido Beach Synagogue

On Sunday, April 29, 2018, Pesach Sheni, Rabbi Eli Biegeleisen was installed as the Spiritual Leader, Mara D’atra of the famed Lido Beach Synagogue, Congregation Etz Chaim located at 1 Fairview Road, Lido Beach, New York.

The instillation ceremony took place in the magnificent main Sanctuary of the Synagogue which was witnessed by a packed overflow crowd.  Many prominent Rabbis were in attendance and addressed the auspicious occasion including, Rabbi Yaakov Bender, Rosh HaYeshiva of Darchei Torah; Rabbi Yaakov Klass, Presidium Member of the Rabbinical Alliance of America/Igud HaRabbonim; Rabbi Mendy Mirocznik, Executive Vice-President, Rabbinical Alliance of America/Igud HaRabbonim; Rabbi Chaim Yehoshua Hoberman, Rosh Hayeshiva of Long Beach, Rabbi Chaim Wakslak of Young Israel, Rabbi Mordechai Tober of Montreal and others.

Rabbi Joel Schreiber, Chairman of the Board of REITS and a prominent member of the Shul chaired the event, and relayed the greetings of many Rabbi and leaders from the Five Towns. A special Proclamation was presented to the new Rabbi by Senator Todd Kaminsky, a neighbor and long time friend of the congregation.

The energetic young Vice President of the Shul Ariel Sutain, formally installed Rabbi Biegeleisen by publicly presenting to him his Ksav Rabbanut.  After which Mr. Alex Berkovitch, President of the Shul, presented Rabbi Biegeleisen with a Kiddish Cup symbolic of the great blessings and future that Rabbi Biegeleisen and the congregation will forge ahead as they will continue to grow Yiddishkiet in the Lido Beach area.

In his address, the newly installed Rabbi spoke of the warm and welcoming community and their vison to continue to be the center of a family friendly community where members are dedicated to tefillah, limud Torah and Jewish causes cohesively.

Besides gaining a first-class Rabbi and Talmud Chachom par excellance, the Lido Beach Synagogue also has at its helm a great Rebbetzin Shira Biegeleisen, a true blessing for the community.  Rabbi and Rebbetzin Biegeleisen also bring with them their 3 young children, who will grace the Congregation with their love, warmth and energy.

Besides serving as the Rabbi of the Lido Beach Synagogue, Rabbi Biegeleisen is also the Director of Community Engagement at Yeshiva Darchei Torah, a prominent post that he will continue to serve in.

    Whose position did he assume? Was that Rabbi Daniel Mehlman’s pulpit?
