kalman-levinRabbi Kalman Zev Levin Hy”d, killed in today’s attack, was 55. He was born in the United States on 26 Kislev 1959.

After his marriage, Rabbi Levin learned in a kollel in Har Nof, Yerushalayim.

Rabbi Levin would spend many hours each day learned at Kollel Lev Avrohom in Meah Shearim, as well as at Kehillas Bnei Torah, where the attack took place.

In addition to being a quiet masmid, he was extremely careful about his sedorim in learning, not being mevatel even an extra minute.

A humble oveid Hashem, Rabbi Levin is remembered for his constant simchas hachaim, his love of Torah, and his yiras Shomayim.

He is survived by nine children, some of whom are not yet married.

Hashem yinkom domom.

Yehi zichro boruch.

  1. Most of his children are not yet married.
The youngest child is all of 10 years old, there are 13-year-old twins, a 17-year-old, a 19-year-old, etc.
    Very, very tragic.
If we continue sleeping and don’t each accept some kabbala – each of us in the area that we know we need to correct – then these korbanos will have been for naught. Only WE can make it meaningful by getting the message and waking from our d-e-e-p slumber, else we don’t know what the next message will be. We don’t want to wait until the Iranians nuke us, do we?!!
