Rav Yisrael Meir Lau, the Tel Aviv chief rabbi and former chief rabbi of Israel, wrote a letter to President Barack Hussein Obama on Erev Shabbos, asking him to commute the sentence of Jonathan Pollard to the more than 27 years he has served. Rav Lau asked for Pollard’s freedom in a letter full of quotations from the Torah and references to Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King Jr. and the Statue of Liberty. Rav Lau warned of Pollard’s deteriorating health and pleaded with Obama to release him before he died in prison.
“Despite his admission and his regret, Jonathan continues to serve a sentence unprecedented in American history [for the crime he committed],” Rav Lau wrote. “His health is fleeting and the remainder of his life is diminishing.” Read more here.

jonathan Pollard,
I can’t imagne how you feel; My heart goes to you all the way.
Please I want to write you a letter, please give me your address, or someone can you?
Thanks
Rav Lau : Mind your own business.
When Israel releases Mordechai Vanunu come speak to me about releasing Pollard.
Perhaps comment #2, Mr. Weird Randomstein, should swap places with Mr. Pollard. Dope! Why make fun of people’s sad and difficulties?
The address. Thanks for the reminder to write.
