Rabbi Meir Sholom Brody Appointed to Head Agudath Israel New Jersey Regional Office

meir-sholom-brodyRabbi Meir Sholom Brody has been appointed as the new director of Agudath Israel’s New Jersey regional office and will immediately assume responsibility for the organization’s advocacy agenda.

Rabbi Brody is an alumnus of Bais Medrash Govoah and a lifelong Lakewood, New Jersey, resident. His years of yeshiva were spent at Mesivta of Lakewood, Yeshiva Torah Temimah in Brooklyn, and Yeshivas Brisk in Yerushalayim.

Rabbi Brody will be working with federal, state and local officials on such crucial matters as tuition relief and educational choice for yeshiva families, religious freedom, end-of-life issues, government cutbacks in family care, and health insurance coverage. Many of these issues have significant ramifications for New Jersey’s growing population of frum Jews.

Rabbi Brody’s work experience includes governmental advocacy on behalf of Relief Resources, a service agency that addresses mental health issues in the frum community.

Rabbi Brody is a capable, articulate young askan who has been offered a number of prestigious positions by organizations looking to benefit from his formidable talents.

  1. Wow! Gr8 move Agudah! I’m sure he will be a fantastic asset to Agudah. I hope he can get public busing for private schools in Passaic, NJ, we sure could use it.
