morris-allenTomorrow morning, Sunday, April 3, at 11 a.m., at the S. Paul JCC, Rabbi Morris Allen is going to be speaking about his Magen Tzedek “hechsher.” The Magen Tzedek initiative and the efforts of the likes of Morris Allen played an integral role in the eventual downfall of Agriprocessors and the lies spread about the kosher meat plant in Postville and its operators.

A show of support is expected to be present  to counter the lies Rabbi Allen has spread and continues to spread about Agri, R’ Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin, and the Postville saga.

Read a report about Allen’s speech here.

  1. Farce. Will the good clergyman have a hechscher on his temple, which is a fraud in that it openly and blatantly vilolate the holy Shabbos and a whole host of the Biblical injunctions? Does he count women for his “minyan.” Do ladies have aliyos at Torah readings, etc., etc.

  2. Morris Allen is not a Rabbi. He is a fraud!
He is a member of a conservative movement which lies and says that it is a version of Judaism.

It is not Judaism. Conservative and Reform and Reconstruction, etc. are all frauds and are not Judaism.

  3. i saw this so called “rabbi” on the television documentary called American Greed about the Rubashkin saga. He was an embarrassment and violated too many halachos to mention. Loshon harah, rechilus, baring false witness etc. Anyone that holds him in any sort of esteem should know whom they are supporting. A lying, self promoting false rabbi who has twisted halacha to fit his needs. in my opinion he is nothing but garbage!

  4. Has the word ‘rabbi’ become meaningless? Is Obama a rabbi? Are the chamas leaders rabbis? They do less damage to Jewry than this person.

  5. Whenever anybody says “Social Justice,” run in the other direction. Social Justice, Prophetic Religion, etc. are all just a nice way of saying communism, because fundamentally, social justice people want redistribution of wealth, workers oblasts, and Soviet-style economics. This is also called Liberation Theology, and sadly, with groups like Uri L’Tzedek, communist Liberation Theology has inflitrated Modern Orthodoxy. The communist dictator of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega, was a Liberation Theologian, as is Jeremiah Wright, Jim Wallis, the anti-semite Desmond Tutu, etc. These people are not benign. They’re dangerous.

  6. Have to say, I was there this morning with several other frum yidden and he was very sharp. He did not spend time speaking about Shlomo Rubashkin, but rather about growing a stronger “culture of kashrus.” You may disagree with him but he was very strong on kashrut observance
