rabbi-perlWhile the government has put the brakes on the “cash for clunkers” program, Rabbi Anchelle Perl, spiritual leader of Congregation Beth Sholom of Chabad of Mineola, says that it’s “all systems go” with his synagogue’s “High Holy Day Seats for Clunkers” project.

Free reserved High Holy Day seats at the shul are being offered in exchange for any car donated to help raise much-needed financial support for its many humanitarian programs. These seats are being offeron a first-come, first-served basis; a maximum of 12 front-row seats will be reserved for those who donate their clunkers to the shul. It will be designated as the “Clunker Section.” These special seats are transferable; you may wish to help someone unaffiliated to have the chance to attend High Holy Day services.

The program accepts all vehicles, whether running or not. This vehicle donation is also tax-deductible. Donors will be provided with all necessary paperwork to properly claim the tax deduction. This “Seats for Clunkers” charity program provides fast and free pickups of your car donation from anywhere in Nassau County, and there is never any cost to the donor.

To donate your car, call 516-739-3636.
