Rabbi Shlomo Riskin, Chief Rabbi of Efrat and Founder of Ohr Torah Stone, used Parshas Vaeschanon, which introduces Shema and warns against idolatry, as an opportunity to sanction gentile beliefs in the Trinity, Buddhism and Hinduism.
Rabbi Riskin chose this weekly parsha to promote Jewish acceptance of J- as “a true Jewish religious thinker and teacher.”
